Niech bedzie pochwalony Jezus Chrystus!

At last Friday’s meeting Fr. Wojciech led the topic of Holy Confession. He reminded us of the five postulates of a good confession, that is of a VALID confession:
1. Examination of conscience
2. Sorrow for sins
3. Strong resolution to conversion
4. Complete, honest confession
5. Making amends (Completing the penance given by the confessor)
Without fulfilling these postulates, the confession is invalid and the sins are not forgiven. It is also important to fulfil these postulates in the given order, for example the examination of the conscience is to be done before the confession.

If someone claims that he or she confesses directly to God and does not need to enter into the Sacrament of Confession, the grave sins of that person are not forgiven because it is priests whom Jesus gave the power to forgive sins, and the god to whom that person claims to be confessing to is not the God of Jesus Christ.

There are situations where a group confession of grave sins is permitted. Those are emergency situations, for example on a sinking ship. If there is a priest present, he can absolve everyone at once of all sins without the people confessing out loud. However, if for example in this case the travel ends happily, everyone is to go confession for the absolution to be valid. If there is no priest nearby, then every person expresses inside of them sorrow for all committed sins.

Fr. Jutro o. Wojciech pragnie podjac temat Spowiedzi Swietej. Kilka tygodni temu przedstawil nam nauke o moralnosci, ktora jest wprowadzeniem do tematu Spowiedzi Swietej.
Przykazanie koscielne glosi, ze do sakramentu Spowiedzi Swietej ma sie przystepowac przynajmniej raz w roku. Okres Wielkiego Postu to czas, w ktorym ci, co chodza do spowiedzi tylko raz w roku, przystepuja zazwyczaj do spowiedzi. Na spotkaniu bedzie mozna rowniez odniesc sie do o.
